Mill Park Baptist Church began its history in 1988 with a small group of people meeting together. The church’s founding pastor was Pastor Gary McGinty. Many of those who formed the fledgling church were from the then Greensborough (now Diamond Valley) Baptist Church.

Our church’s first years were characterised by powerful prayer and rapid numerical growth. We first met in a local primary school, then in the local YMCA, before we moved into our own church building at 11 Morang Drive. This building was later extended to the large auditorium we meet in today.

Throughout our 36-year history, the church has faced numerous challenges. This has included several instances of serious injury, illness, and sudden death of members of the church family. In the years prior to 2007, we faced constant financial struggle, and there was a long search for a Senior Pastor (following the departure of Pastor Gary McGinty in 2003).

Despite these difficulties, Mill Park Baptist Church has continued to grow. We have maintained our focus on outreach to our local community and strong mission support.  God has proven over and over of His Faithfulness!
