Mill Park Baptist Church began in 1988 with a small group of people led by pastor Gary McGinty. Many of those who formed the fledgling church were from Greensborough (now Diamond Valley) Baptist Church.

Geoff Shepherd began at MPBC in 2006, as Senior Pastor.
